Termites in your home?

Termite swarms usually occur between February and May and are often the first signs seen by homeowners. Found both inside and outside homes, they are often mistaken for flying ants.
Wood Damage
Termites have only one food source, cellulose, which is found in wood and wood products. They are in search of and chew wood 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Mud Tubes
Since termites cannot live without moisture, they construct “highways” out of mud to retain moisture as they travel from the ground to food sources away from their colonies.
Less Obvious Signs
Other termite signs include discarded wings, blistering/bubbling paint, frass, hollow sounds, tight fitting doors and windows, small holes in the drywall, and more.
